Wendy Munro (MFHT)
Qualifications and work experience
Wendy first qualified in 1997 with a Level 4 Sports Therapy Diploma from Watford College and then in 1998/9 with a BTEC Higher Diploma in Sport & Remedial Massage Therapy from the London School of Sports Massage. She has worked in numerous settings, including a Dry Ski Slope Centre, a Chiropractic Clinic, a Sports Centre and as an assistant at a hydrotherapy pool within a Bupa Hospital. Wendy set up Cairngorm Clinic with our Osteopath, Sally, in January 2009.
Over the years, Wendy has gained additional certification in Kinesio Taping and Myofascial Release and has attended many conferences and workshops as part of a yearly commitment to Continuing Professional Development. Wendy is a fully paid up and insured member of the Federation of Holisitc Therapists – www.fht.org.uk
Registered Sports and Remedial Massage Therapist
Wendy has a background in coaching tennis and skiing, holds a Summer Mountain Leader award and is a very keen runner having completed many trail and road races from 10k up to marathon distance. These sporting interests make Wendy very well placed to understand and treat the variety of injuries involved and to help with rehabilitation. Wendy can also advise on running technique, programmes, running technology, and choices of footwear.
